Had these as an appetizer with the Memorial Day grilling.

    1 cup of A & W Root Beer
1 full set of venison ribs
1 bottle of Simple Truth Original BBQ sauce
    1 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp of chipotle pepper seasoning

Put everything in a crockpot for 4 hours on low. 2 hours on warm. Falls right off the bone when its done.

I usually cut my rib meat out and grind. I'll have to save a rack and try this next year.

I use a butchers saw or a handy dandy dewalt reciprocating saw.

I cut them off the spine with a clean hack saw. That was the only bone cut I made. I put both sides of the rib cage in without cutting the rib bones. I made a few cuts between the ribs to fit it in the crockpot.

I pretty well break my deer down like these guys do. Around the 5:20 mark they cut the ribs off.

I cut mine at the spine, mid_rib and at the breast bone to separate (so you end up with 4 slabs). Remove as much of the tallowy (hard) fat as you can before cooking as it is waxy and will coat you mouth in an unpleasant way.

I bake mine, low and slow to try to render out much of the remaining tallowy fat. But generally will prepare them like pork ribs (either a dry rub or bake with minimal seasonings then sauce & grill)
