I was just looking at some trail camera pictures from this summer, and that got me thinking. With these deer holding onto there antlers so long will this cause them to shed there velvet a little bit later? It seems here in Wisconsin most bucks shed a just before the season, and I have seen some still holding on. I know them losing there velvet has something to do with raising testosterone and blood supply to velvet. I really have no idea if when they lose there sheds has anything to do when they start the process over again. Tell me what you think.

Seems around here the velvet comes of from most bucks from Aug-25 to Sept 10 no matter what the year :deer:
