Too bad VCU and Butler meets in a national semi-final, I'd prefer them to meet for the National Championship.

Did you see the VCU kids take to the streets, after their win?

THAT - is what it's all about.

My only worry is player safety, I think the top 8 should be in a playoff.

    The rest go to bowls

Exactly, imagine a team like TCU in a playoff. Back to Kansas losing....I root for two teams...Missouri and whoever is playing Kansas.

eh...both college bball and football championship system is flawed.

With the tourney, the best team does not always win. I do not care if Butler or VCU wins the championship, they will not be the best team this year and that is fact.

Honestly, I think the BCS has it right a bit more than the tourney...

How many more games will they have to play?

13 is plenty for college football IMO.

Ditto. They were talking about this on Mike and Mike this morning too. It really is a messed up way to label the "national champion". How many times can you actually say the best team in the nation won this thing? College football comes a lot closer to finding out who the best in the nation is.

Take the 8 game playoff in college football that everyone wants. In comparison to college basketball this year, zero teams in the final four would be in such a playoff. Uconn was 9th in their own conference! A similar playoff would have been Ohio st, Kansas, Duke, Pitt, Florida, UNC, ND, and San Diego st.

That being said......... I still wouldn't change a thing about March Madness. The second best sporting event there is IMO. Just a weird way to classify someone as the best.

In an 8 team playoff, 4 will play 13 games, 2 will play 14, and 2 will play 15. Take a game out if you need too. Does Florida really need to play Florida Atlantic late in the season?

Teams should only play 10-11 games max each regular season.
