Has anybody here used the Limb Driver Pro V arrow rest? I like the looks of them but looks are not everything? What are your thoughts.

I have had one on my halon for about two or three months now, and have put about a gazillion shots through it. I love it. I ended up putting a string damper on the cable that runs it. If you have a Mathews, there is a Mathews specific one that fits better. I can't say enough good things about it. It's quiet, easy to tune, and bullet proof. I liked it enough, I called and ordered a t shirt and a big sticker from them on Monday.

Awesome rest. If tuned properly you can shoot any vane configuration you want including fobs. Things to consider is the Pro V is only top limb activated. In most cases this does not present a problem for clearance for quivers and such but could be a source of noise if the cable is close and contacts the quiver or quiver attachment. Other than that no complaints here.

Is it hard to get tuned properly?

Not hard at all as you don't have to worry about timing as much as the limbs take care of that and it drops completely out of the way of the arrow.

What was the issue you had with the QAD?

Completely understand. Confidence is a big factor in how you perform. If you are worried something is gonna go wrong, you over think it and complicate matters. Yeah with the QAD you have to make sure the cable is adjusted right. What bow do you shoot? Cable activated drop aways can require that you retard your cams to offset the pull on the cable in some cases. That could have been the culprit vice the timing. How did you verify fletching contact?

If it was the Hunter model that came with the loaded Charger, they are notorious for being junk. I used it for my first season and got rid of it. It doesn't have the lock down feature that the HDX model does so the rest bounces back causing fletching contact. I switched to the Smackdown Pro and recently got the Pro V. Both are better options.

I had a problem with two QAD HDX and when they sent me the third I sold as BNIB.

I went with a Bowfinger Medusa Max which is just a better made and beefier QAD and had absolutely no problems with it. BH tuned perfect no flaws whatsoever. I would say HHA's new Virtus would be about the same.

However, I got a wild hair to shake it up for some reason and wanted limb driven. Bought 3 different ones - TT Smackdown Pro, Truglo Updraft and G5 Cmax.

Love the G5 Cmax! It's been thru 3 months of 3D competition and indoor league plus all the practice and been flawless.
