Does anybody know if the VaneTec Super Spine 3" Vanes will be enough to stabilize a heavy hunting arrow/Broadhead?? I am looking for a smaller profile vane to replace the Blazers?

I did some testing a few years ago when I was first introduced to Vane Tec Vanes using the Super Spine Vanes Versus the V-Max Vanes.
I found the Super Spine Vanes best suited to shooting Field Points or Mechanical Heads NOT Fixed Blade Broadheads.

I do shoot the Super Spine Vanes but only for Competitive 3D Tournament Archery.

I have been using the Vane Tec V-Max 3" Vanes with a 4 blade fixed blade broadhead and have killed roughly 20 deer with this setup over the last 3 years, My husband also started shooting the same setup as mine 2 years ago and he is very happy with their performance.

Lady Forge Thank You I think I am going to give them a try!! I plan on shooting a Mech head this year, and if I do go with a fixed blade I am going to try a small COC style head, so I will check and see how they fly in a 100grn!!

    Wish me luck!!

Thanks for the help Rybo~~~ I just ordered a 100 3" SS Vanetec's so I will see how they work? I will have a 100of them so if three(3) dont stabilize I guess I could try the four (4) fletch style and see if that does it?

With them being 3/8" in height I should have plenty room to do the four fletch but hopefully I will not need to?!?
