Hey everybody, I've got a quick question. I've been shooting lately and haven't had as tight of groups as normal. I noticed the other day while I was shooting that there were yellow marks on the left side of my rest (I have blazer vanes and an octane hostage rest). On my last shot of shooting that day one of the vanes got ripped off. Just wondering what needed to be done to fix this problem and if it is something I can fix myself. Thanks in advance for the input.
sounds like your center shot is off. nock an arrow then look down your string lining it up with the tip of the arrow, then note whether or not your string is lined up with the centerline of the bow.
I had a similar problem with the same vanes. don't know what was causing it, but even with them rubbing my paper tune was perfect. I recently replaced all my vanes and haven't noticed any rubbing since.
If your centershot is off, re adjust it. Then spray your vanes with white foot powder, and if they keep hitting turn your nock until they don't.
