I use an old yoga mat that my lady doesn't use anymore that I cut down, also a mouse pad would work as well . As long as it a surface that is soft like neoprene anything would work really. I lay the wrap down on the mat sticky side up then line the arrow up to it evenly. Then all you do is press down on the arrow and roll it forward. Piece of cake and works great. Good luck!
Years ago when I first started building my own arrows Onestringer recommended applying the wraps magazine or mouse pad. I have had the same magazine in my archery drawer for at least 10 years and all I do is is use for it wraps. It's some thick gamer magazine I mooched off of my nephew lol. Just lay the wrap down sticky side up, line up the arrow and place it on the wrap, then roll the arrow using light to moderate pressure. Done. Edit: I basically retyped what Hardwoods said, but I pulled a rookie move and replied before reading the rest of the thread .
First try at making arrow wraps and then fetching them. Been fetching my own arrows for about a year. First time with wraps needs a few tweaks but all and all it worked out
I've thought about trying the new NAP Hellfire quickfletch but haven't yet. Is it as simple to use as it seems? Sent from my HTC6545LVW using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I do remember seeing that now that you mention it. Sent from my HTC6545LVW using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
