I hit the road after my morning hunt, i actually made it back to catch the last few minutes of light here beside the house. I had an awesome time, couldn't ask for a greater group of guys to share camp with. I saw more little bucks in one sit than I'll see here all season... Just nothing to let the arrow loose on. But he's out there and Brett and Finny are all over him, and last i heard, so is the wind and rain. Luke is in the tree i was in hoping to score on his first buck. Josh(gri22ly) hit the road this morning. Hopefully one of them is squeezing their release as i type.

Wicked awesome, lol. Caleb and his friends are good people, I would share a camp fire and beer with them anytime.

Had a blast with a great group of guy's, looking forward to next year already.

And yes Caleb and his crew hooked us up, food, wood, stories.... great guy as I imagined, just a weird accent.

I tell you one thing, I learned so much about deer behavior, maps, playing the wind... etc, between Josh and Brett, I've gained more knowledge about hunting whitetails than shooting any buck could have ever gave me. And don't let Brett's(VA shadow) calm demeanor fool ya... he's one pumped up high strung dude... KILL!!

I also learned a lot from some of the locals you guys have up in Ohio... haha...It takes all kinds of kinds...:poke:

It wasn't enough to justify the killing... Just some white splotches on both sides of his belly.

Prolly woodbury / Tri valley I wanna do at least one sit at AEP grounds though. It's hard to cover so much brand new ground!

Will do, but you don't wanna be part of my public land drags they tend to be long!! And don't worry about those BLs we took good care of them for you :)

Haha! I had no doubts :tu: And you should have seen how far back I went today... it'll be my new term; "I pulled a Finny" lol. Luckily I was next to a lake. My plan was to kill a monster, tag it, then go to the nearest Wally World and buy an inflatable raft to get it back to the boat ramp!

Btw, I saw a nice shooter at 100 yards, just past 8am... just feeding his way to a bedding area. Also saw 2 does and 2 fawns... and it'll be 15 degrees cooler tomorrow. Keep your trigger-finger ready in the morning!
