I would love to come up there and hunt those two reservoirs. I will purchase a MD hunting license if I can get up there 6-8 times. It would be worth it to me to be able to hunt bucks in September and for a change up come November. What kind of schedule are you on? Im working 10 hr shifts and some weeks I have plenty of time off to hunt.

WHEN: Friday November 1st until Tuesday November 5th or Wed the 6th. I will more than likely arrive Friday morning after travelling all night. (Open to be adjusted but think this is the best common ground). Guys can arrive sooner, stay later, or leave and go as they please. Nothing in stone, all for fun.

WHERE: Woodbury wildlife area (15,000 acres) and conesville coal mine(15,000 acres) company 20 mins apart.

    Here is an article:

    http://www.gameandfishmag.com/2010/1...ng_oh_0908_01/

These seem like two good bow only areas. Also, Josh/OH lives and hunts around SE Ohio so he knows several other spots and said he would provide some insight and help. In short, we have 30,000-40,000 acres of pretty good public land hunting ground to hunt in Ohio, all accessible from a close base camp.

Participant list: (Only adding guys who said they are more than likely going to attend---contact me if your status has changed at all and I will keep updating. Please don’t take offense if I missed you, I am reviewing 14 pages worth of dialogue)

    Well done, Brett!
And there's plenty more where that came from. My cabin borders Blue Rock State Forest, and is about 15 minutes from American Electric Power (AEP) "ReCreation" land (which also includes Conesville coal land). It's over 60,000 acres and prime time. While at the cabin, I spend most of my time at these two areas.

    AEP.com - ReCreation Land

    Blue Rock State Forest

IF WE DECIDE TO HOLD THIS PARTY AT MY PLACE -totally up to you guys

I'd love to be in a position to open up the cabin for everyone, but it appears my dad will likely be using it with a couple of his friends.
However, I can offer a camper that would easily sleep 3, maybe 4. And there's a possibility that I can get a second (about the same size). It has propane heat and a stove for cooking -BUT no electric to hook up to, and the bathroom is a 20 year old port-a-john :tu:. Showers can be had at the local diner/general store (5 minutes away) for $2.

If anyone has a camper they'd like to bring, it's encouraged!

There's also a camp ground WITH electric hook-ups at the state park (5 minutes away). If anyone has a burning desire to do the tent thing, we have plenty of room. Just be warned, Ohio can get pretty damn cold in November!

Since it is in Ohio (And only a few hours away)...I will be attending. Not sure if I am going to camp or whatnot yet...but I will at least come down and hangout at a minimum. Ohio has all kinds of public land like this and yes, there are some GIANTS.

Ill be adding more insight in the near future.

Dude, that's my neck of the woods! You should holler at me one of these times you're down there. Also, I know you guys have your share of bruits up there, but you should make plans to stay and hunt.. change the scenery up a little!

ps- You bring any GTG hardware home to Ohio? I haven't seen a winner posted for the 3D/Iron buck yet...

Hardware? Nope. I didnt even do the Iron Buck. Missed my first clay pigeon and shot a 121 on the 3d course. Dubbya won with a 146 (second year in a row).

And i will hit you up for sure about hunting. Im looking to try some spot and stalk rut hunts in the big open areas down there. Should be a fun time.

I've gotta push back my arrival day by one day. Will be arriving late on November 1st, ready to hunt the morning of Saturday, November 2nd. I'd like to hunt until Wednesday October 6th. I was put in two weeks of training beginning in mid-October. It is job training that will really benefit my work group and myself.

Guys, I know were are still a few months out, but just getting an idea of who is attending. NO stress if you change your mind.

I will be arriving late Friday night November 1st or even in the early morning hours of Saturday the 2nd. Plan on departing Wednesday night after hunting. Heading to PA to hunt the rest of my hunting vacation.

You can PM if you are attending and we can establish a group e-mail so we can stay in touch.

DE does not allow hunting on Sundays. But, we have some huge deer in Blackbird State Forest. Blackbird offers around 40 pre-made box stands. I don't know about the State forest in Sussex. There was a 10 pointer taken last year. There are also big bucks in Sussex county. Redden State Forest is in Sussex. Here is the link to DENRECs hunting maps:

Siman told me you guys are coming to my hood to hunt this fall....

Far to many posts in this thread for me to read it.

Looking for the details on this, as we have a camp in Coshocton county and may even be there Nov 1st.

I know AEP pretty well and have taken a good buck there on the public land.

I hooked up Atlasman and his brother on their hunt there last year with spots to hunt (or the year before dont remember which). They both had a great time and got bucks.

I just read the article linked in the last page. Our camp is in Wills Creek maybe a half mile from the Wills Creek General store.

The pressure gets intense (just ask atlasman) but there are good deer in the area.
