A good friend of mine in VA has been tracking this buck all summer and had him pegged. The worst part is their season opens tomorrow morning. Big bummer for him, his farm was just getting over an outbreak of this from 2 years ago and he was finally seeing some good bucks back in the area. He's already found 2 dead does this summer...really sucks to find this day before the opener. Great buck for sure...

***Correction not EHD, it was Hemorragic Disease. He just found 3 more deer this morning, one of which was another buck***

That sucks. A buck like that would make a lot of hunters happy but instead it goes to waste.

Yea a great deer for sure. Feel for him, he runs this farm himself so hunting time is limited, and to have one pegged and lose the opportunity in this fashion is a kick in the bean bag for sure

It sucks but that's nature. Nothing goes to waste in nature though. Whether it's the bugs or the birds or the coyotes something will use it.
