I purchased a Polaris ATV about 1.5 years ago...Thought I would use it
and like it but have found out that its not what I wanted...If I were in
my teens and 20's maybe Id get more out of it...Plus I found it to be way
too noisy for taking into the woods vice just using my 4x4...

But for me now in my 50's Im looking for something that will get me
down in the woods to hunt, scout, take down food or check trail cams
quietly...I have over 400 acres I can use this on with mostly good
log roads...Im in the Adirondacks so mountainous, hilly, a little swampy
but like I said its mostly going to be used on existing roads...

Ive done google searches and surprisingly there wasnt much info to
do comparisons...I know of Bad Boys, Polaris and Stealth but would
like to get more info on what others like and how the charges are on
    them, and your basic opinion...

With things changing so rapidly Id like to get something a little more
updated then what I saw on here about 9 months ago...

    Thanks everyone!

I've got a Polaris Ranger EV. This things a tank, holds charge extremely well. It has all the power as a gas Ranger but the stealth of a electric. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy the same machine. 20150226_131942.jpg

Here is my Teryx 4. It'll get you anywhere you wanna go and it even has room for the kids.

We have two 800 Polaris ranger crews, a 3010 Kawasaki mule and a newer 4010 exactly like BJE80's as well as a bad boy electric.

From one to two years experience running them all here's my take:
Rangers, are great machines, beds a hair small compared to the Mules transformer beds. They do everything better and faster than the mules with better ride and speed. They use quite a bit of gas but I use them a lot too. They are a bit noisy compared to the Mules and the cooling systems could be made better to accommodate a dirty radiator.

Mules, the 4010 is vastly superior to the older 3010, expandable beds are super great. I like the 4010, the 3010 I don't care for as it's rough and no power steering and isn't fuel injected. Both are slow, top speed of 25mph...big drawback for me.

The bad boy is more like a 12 year old in puberty and a sissy one at that...I don't care for it at all. Battery life sucks on it. It's quiet as hell is the only plus I can give for it.

Of the five, the Rangers are the ones I am grossly biased in favor of. If I'm not driving, I call shotgun in one of the Rangers because they ride so much better and have better clearance. Really very very few drawbacks I can think of to the Rangers.

Now, all that said that I have experience with....the new Kawasaki Mules are what the Mule should have been a long time ago and if they had offered the 2015's last year...we wouldn't have the Rangers. I would have traded for two of the new updated Mules last year rather than the Rangers. Basically they have all the advantages of the Ranger, FI, suspension, big motor, PS, 45mph top speed, etc...but also still have the expandable bed. I can't testify to durability obviously. They also have a better cooling system than the Rangers.

There are zillions of UTVs out here but very few electric ones.
The husband and I looked at getting a UTV in addition to our two ATVs. That way one of us wouldn't have to eat the other's dust and we could talk on the drive. After pricing some we ended up buying this.

It was owned by a bunny hugger who never took it out on the trails. We spent $2000.00 plus new tires on it.

We didn't waste any time getting it muddy and bloody. The only real downside is that it rides like a log truck. Lol

We are still looking at getting a UTV. Mostly likely the little Honda pioneer 500.

Ed, I don't own a UTV but thought at one time that I'd like to get one, the ones that I have driven were not built for bigger drivers. I'm 6'4" and they were very uncomfortable to drive. I just read about the new Yamaha that claims to be 'bigger' but I don't know if that means that there is more leg room. Drive a few before you make a decision // TrackSoup

Thanks everyone for the opinions...Now that Im home ill be hitting everyone up for test drives...Im pretty sure Polaris will do a trade-in...Not sure if the other brands will so that may be a big determining factor...

I thought Id really use the ATV more (still thinking like a teenager who wanted to "tear the roads up") but reality hit pretty quick that Im not a teenager and I just wanted something to get me in the woods quietly for hunting season...

Thanks again and ill post what I finally decide on...
