I was out practicing late yesterday afternoon. Grabbed my shag bag and wanted to get some short game work in and work on a few things in my full swing. Grabbed my 5 iron and started hitting balls. After about 50 balls or so I hit one and felt a little twing in the back of my right leg. Kind of shook it off rolled another ball over and hit it. Again, but a little more pronounce. Bent over and stretched out a little more, rolled another ball over and hit it. This time it was a noticeable .... ouch in my leg. So being the idiot I am I attempted to keep going, I value my practice time. Hit a few more and same deal. Then on the last one, halfway through my downswing a shooting pain up and down my leg... hurt like hell. Something really felt weird on that swing. Hit the ball about 12 yards and limped back to the clubhouse. Woke up this morning and can't put a single bit of weight on it. Off to the doctor I guess.

hope you didnt blow a disc in your back.
When yuor discs blow out or herniate you rarely have back pain from it it's all nerve and leg pain.
when I blew mine out it took a few weeks to take full effect on me but one day I could'nt even stand up at all.
Thats when I knew it was time to go to the doc

That golf is dangerous. Just keep with bow hunting:)

Hope your better. Coming from a guy with back issues for 30years it sounds more stress related. But that's me.
Have a few bears and focus on the good things in your life and thanks your heavenly Father for them and call me in the morning.

I bet his wife got after him with a 3 iron. Come on back NY. If he doesn't show in a day or two we'll have to check the hospitals.

I just called the golf course. He's there and working. He said they think he's going to make it. LOL There was noise and drunks in the back ground making a conversation next to impossible. Sounds like the 19th hole will be a hit tonight.

If you have a chiropractor I would have him check it out for you, I have seen a couple of guys with issues like this that came in after golfing. Hope all is well and you get back to feeling better soon!

Never dawned on me that was you calling. I hung up the phone and told the girl working the bar I have no freaking idea who that was or how he knows about my leg lmao. Sorry man it was hectic couldn't put two and two together. The league creatures were just rolling in. Ya couldve jogged my memory like "from BH.com"

As for the leg, still hurts pretty bad. Using a 3 iron as a crutch. My Dr. quack wants to give it the typical miracle treatment (aleve, bengay, heat, rest) for a couple weeks and see how it feels then schedule an mri. I swear he was googling my symptoms to come up with something. Seems to be his answer to everything. Told him that we should just schedule an mri now, because the other voodo stuff isn't going to make go away whatever is structually wrong in my leg. But as of now I'm pretty much wasting another week or so of heat and ben gay. Know more after mri.

Similar thing happened last year but not to this extent. Something isn't right up there. Problem is, if there is something they need to fix, I have no idea when that would be. Theres no way for me to be out for any time.

This sounds like the same problem my husband had two years ago. They said, in his case, it's due to arthritic degeneration of the spine after they did an x-ray. It causes pressure on the sciatic nerve causing severe leg pain. There is really nothing wrong with the leg. There were a couple of times I had to carry his briefcase for him because the pain was so bad. He bought a cane and that helped. He now has three really cool canes.

Sometimes it can be caused by sitting on something like your wallet for a long time.

He's pretty much okay now. They say that 90% of the time the pain goes away by itself after a few months and it did, but comes back a little bit sometimes. NSAIDS will help. He's really careful when he lifts.

Above all, do NOT go to a chiropracter.

    Good Luck!
