Does anyone know the usual date of the Wisconsin bowl openers. I need to pick vacation far in advance, and usually the DNR has not released the opening date when I pick my vacation. Are there any rules of thumb, like the Saturday closest to the middle of the month for example. Thanks.

That is not correct Justin. That would put it on Sept 8 or 9th (10 or 11th) some years. Sept 12 is the earliest I remember (since 1976). It is something like the Saturday closest to the 15th. I know there is a rule that determines opening date. When I was young it was the Saturday after the 15th. OP - Call DNR Info Line at 888-WDNRINFO. They can give you the 2021 opening date and/or find out the timing rule.
By looking at a 2021 calendar - - - I would bet a week's pay Wisconsin 2021 Archery Season opens September 18, 2021. BUT I would take my vacation (if I had one) Oct. 30- November 13, 2021.
