Is it a big deal? I'm not making any money from my videos or advertising them. If anything I'm giving some artist added air time. Is this a big deal or no?
I'm not concerned and if someone complains I've got no problem deleting the music. Do you guys do it?

I use royalty free music for NAA videos. Typically when using royalty free music the composer/artist request that you credit them. As long as they are getting credit it's just more exposure for them, I doubt they mind since that's kind of the purpose of royalty free music to begin with. But like you said, if they asked for me to take it down I would gladly take it down and have someone make music for me.

I know I have music on my IPhone that I purchased on Itunes and used it in a video of target practice and placed it on FB and within minutes they rejected the video and said I had unlawful usage of the music thus deleted my video....I too think as long as I purchased it I should be able to use it...

Facebook rejects them with music. However, I've uploaded to YouTube - simply write I do not own music, it is "xxxx" and we're good to go!

Royalty Free is the way to go. Lots of site online, put the time in & you'll find great original music.

We often use popular songs in our wedding videos. The down side is that the content owner of the music can disable the video or put ads on it. They also have the option to limit what devices can view the videos. Often, I try and find a small band site through soundcloud and will contact them and ask if we can use their music. For all of our commercial stuff, we use our own composer or we use royalty free stuff.
