This is my first of hopefully many posts here, so I would first like to say hello. After a long stretch out of bowhunting I am planning to try and get back into it a little. I want to update my equipment a bit, but don't want to go all out with new yet. I found a used 2009 Ross Carnivore bow, but am not sure what it would be worth. I want to make sure I don't overpay for the thing. It seems to be in good condition. Thanks in advance for all the help.

First off - welcome to the site!

As for the bow, that's going to be a tough one. The Carnivore wasn't a huge seller, and it's a product of the now defunct Bowtech/Ross relationship. I don't believe Bowtech wants to warranty/service them, and I'm not sure if Ross will either. I did shoot the Carnivore and thought it was a nice bow, but long-term support should you need it may be hard to come by.

Personally, I'd be hard pressed to think you should pay more than $250-$300 for it, and that's assuming it's in great shape. Although for that price you may consider putting your money somewhere else.

    Justin,

Thanks for the advice. I didn't realize the relationship between Ross and Bowtech had fizzled out. That definately changes things a bit. Thanks again.
