Also, if anyone would like to discuss the re-ordering of the conferences, we can do that as well. So far Colorado to the PAC-10, and Nebraska to the Big 10 is all that has been confirmed.
So far they are staying in the WAC. The MWC has stated that they do not plan on expanding, which is ridiculous IMHO. If the Big 12 and Big East collapse, the MWC should add Boise and Fresno and push to be a BCS conference. They could also pick up some of the Big 12 leftovers that the PAC-10, Big 10, and SEC don't want (i.e. Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas St. etc)
As a Nebraska fan i think a move to the Big 10 will be good for maybe some wins and that is it. It will be sad to see The Big 12 go being one of the strongest conferences overall, unless they really think they can pull it together. I think it sucks that money is the main reason for all the change. I understand that money makes the world go round and athletic programs cant survive without it but the rivalries in the big 12 in football will be greatly missed. Does anyone know the time table before these moves are put into place and they begin the "new schedules"?
I struggle to see the Texas / Oklahoma teams in the Pac-10. I hope the Big 12 doesn't go under... They would be fine with a 10 team conference. Call it the SouthWest conference again. As for USC.... Wonder how all those kids who signed with them feel now. Sentreal Henderson came to mind.... Should have picked Minnesota or Ohio State. Hope Bush feels really proud of himself.
