    That dustin kid had a terrible start, Erin and Phil came close, but the Irsishman came through.

    Wasn't too crazy about the final round. Lacked a lot of excitement IMO. Dustin was welcomed to the real world of playing on sunday with the lead at a major. WOW! Tiger, Ernie and Phil probably didn't sleep too much Sunday night. I'm sure they were counting shots from both saturday and sunday that would have won them the Open. So now this Mcdowell fella is the US Open champion. Good for him, but....... blah whatever.

    It's the poa (and the drying out of the greens). Poa is a real pain in the ass for both the golfer and superintendent. It's an annual grass that is shallow rooted and grows at hundreds of different rates. That's why late in the day after growing out they become bumpy. Take a zillion blades of grasses growing at different rates and you don't end up with a smooth surface. When it goes to seed, you probably shouldn't even play lol.
