Do any of you guys hunt urban areas [city limits] I hunt a area in the city limits
that has a abanded house and shed on it, I actually sit in the old shed.On the backside of the shed theres a
white oak stand about 15 trees, in front of the shed theres open grass[ weeds] then pines, behind the pines
theres a ravine with a creek that runs through it the deer bed in this ravine. To the left of the shed about
100 yrds there is a 4 acre field that has either beans or corn in it. This place is right on the edge of the
city limits. I see alot of deer there and shoot a few also. One afternoon I got there about 3:00 and while I was
putting on my coverhalls a doe walked out between the house and the shed and behind her a huge buck a 160"
at least And I do have a good idea what a 160" buck looks like, my son shot a 144" and my buddy shot a 155"
of course they took of like a bat out hell right away and I didnt even have my bow out of the blazer yet
should of been there 10 minutes earlier, oh well maybe this year.

If I could post a pic (without a photo account)I would show you a number of big back yard bucks...
So your answer is YES, in the small cities and towns in S.NH and N. Mass.
Some spots I can see the lights on in houses while perched in my tree stand (300 feet away).

I live in St. Louis County and hunt right out my back door. Our subdivision is all 3 acre lots with a couple of creeks running thru it. I have killed a bunch of deer her over the years and a couple of nice bucks. I have one stand 20 feet from my house.

The stand is in the tree where the limbs fork off. And yes I have killed deer out of this stand. It sits over a little food plot I planted.

I killed this buck on a neighbors property a few years ago.

I've never hunted In city limits but the suburbs of the Twin Cities In Minnesota Is loaded with P&Y and some B&C bucks. Obviously no gun hunting Is allowed so for the most part these bucks are getting to live their potential out. I'd love to be one of the lucky ones that gets a try at hunting In these suburbs but from what I understand It's tough to get In there. I think you might have to shoot a qualifier to get In to make sure you have good accuracy and I'm also guessing the list Is pretty long.

Tribal, you know any other Info about these places? Maybe I'm wrong with what I said.

No actual city limits hunting, but a lot of suburb back yard hunting for me. I don't particularly care for it, but it beats staying home.

I know a few guys who hunt some really tight patches of woods in the city and do they see/kill some NICE bucks.

I do. And I have had fairly good luck too. When I was in Washington we would see more Blacktail in urban settings that anyplace else. They are easier to pattern and they funnel better if you ask me

I shot a doe last year listening to the Buffalo Bills football game coming from some guys radio in his garage - helped pass the time until the deer showed up. Really neat to see how used to people these animals can get.

I hunt in the suburbs/city limits and it makes for some really good "pockets" of deer activity.

I don't hunt in city limits, but I hunt in suburbs, within less than 100 yards of houses.
