So I got a stealth cam Skout 7 for Christmas not this past Christmas but the one before. Its never really worked that well. Today I went to pull the memory card after leaving the camera up for two weeks. In two weeks I had only 9 pictures...not a single picture was of an animal. The area in front of the camera was full of turkey and deer tracks. I have an older stealth cam that works great so I don't know what the deal with the Skout is. At least now I have an excuse to buy a covert now.
stealth cams have been horrible for me as well...their cs is ok but when u do their return program they send u cameras that dont work again anyways...i have 2 skout 7 i used last year that had no problems but i took em down over the winter..goin to put em back out this weekend but ill be relying on my coverts i bought more so than the stealth cams this year
I have also had bad luck with Stealth Cam. I purchased 2 of them 2 years ago and neither one of them work anymore; I just figured it was my dumb luck. I have 3 Coverts and 0 complaints; we’ll see how they hold up.
Stealth has the worst camera's in the industry and their customer service is pitiful. I had a camera that was in warranty and because they didn't respond to my calls and e-mails the warranty ended and I had no recourse. Stay away from them like the plague.
Pretty much this. I dealt with Stealth Cam for about 2 years until i switched to Moultrie/Cuddeback. That customer service sucked as well...now its Cover and only Covert. I will never buy another brand of trail camera.
