Currently have: Tru Glow sight, not sure of the model but you get the point Stablizer I am not to sure of just a hunk of rubber Drop away arrow rest (which I love) New to the bow things so im not really sure what to look for, just looking for an overall better acc. wether it be for accruacy, quietness, etc etc.. $ not to much of an issue although quality is a must Thanks
I just bought the excel armortech sight for my new bow and love it. The fiber optics are fully enclosed in the pins so you can't catch them or break them. They are still very bright and the sight is micro adjustable and very easy to use.
They are a little pricey but are well worth it. By far the nicest sight I've used. I am also using a octane stab but I haven't tried many others so don't know how it compares. You can get the armortech on bh.coms shopping area for a good deal. A bit cheaper than what I paid for mine.
I got the Black and Gold Flashpoint RedZone on my Z7. It's got toolless adjustments (although you do have to snug a couple of allens once sighted in). The optics are covered by metal, 5 pins. I give it a 10 out of 10. A RipCord RedZone drop away rest. It's full containment. Gets out of the way fast with no fletchng contact. (as long as your tuned properly) I give it a 9 out of 10 because of the arrow making a little noise when drawing back. I fixed that with a little moleskin. A Fuse stabilizer.
I think, like bows themselves, you're going to get a lot of different opinions on this. At this day an age, most companies make a quality product. How high the quality generally (note I said generally) can moderately be judged by the price, but even the cheap stuff will function quite well if you get the right cheap stuff. Go into a bow shop and say, "give me the most expensive" this this and this. They'll help you out from there. You got a Z7 right, so the guy that sold you that bow can probably help you out on how to equip it with bone collector type gear. While you'll have some swear by QAD rests, others will say they didn't like them. Also, cheap doesn't mean bad. I use a cheap little containment style rest (not a biscuit) it was like $20, and I can hold a nice tight pattern even out at 40 yards (that's all the farther I can shoot where I shoot). It's more the indian than it is the bow. Most people will agree with me on this. Here's a website that might help you if you're convinced that the lack of grouping (accuracy) is related to the rest/sight. Also, I've shot a Z7, not sure about you, but I thought it was pretty damn quiet/vibration free bare bow. I think a $12 stabilizer would work.. lol http://www.bonecollector.com/gear-shed?page=1
