I dropped my 2012 PSE Brute X off at the shop today. I'm having Vaportrail strings and cables installed, along a Metapeep. I'm also going with a NAP Apache arrow rest (shooting a WB now).

I also ordered a Bowrattler string suppressor.

I think overall my setup will be a bit faster, more quiet, and hopefully my accuracy will improve. I sure won't miss the 3-way split peep i was using due to the peep rotation on the stock strings.

Anyone else re-tooling a few things on their bows prior to hunting season?

I will have BSD strings, the meta peep, Muzzy MX-3 broadheads in 100 grain (was at 125 last year) and a tru-fire patriot release is new to my set up this year. I've been using my 8" stabilizer but might put the 5" back on and see how it shoots once my bow gets out of the shop.

Not a thing on my Helim. Next change will be a new bow in a few years!

Just got an entire new set up, dropped some dough on a Strother SX Rush. Absolutly love it.

The Strother Rush is a sweet looking bow, congrats on the new rig! I figure I'll keep my bow another 2 years, then try something different.

Just bought a new Mathews ChillR a couple weeks ago, it's already had 3 rests on it so far and it hasn't even been outside yet, lol...Oh and 2 sets of sights....So far I've played with a Whisker Biscuit "that lasted about 10mins, lol", QAD HDX and right now it has a Trophy Taker Smackdown Pro on it "who knows if it'll stay or not"...Had a Trophy Ridge V5 Micro sight on it for a day or two, now it has my Trophy Taker Heartbreaker Pro single pin sight on it...Stabilizer has been played with a few times and still playing with that setup, at the moment it has an 8" B-Stinger with an 8oz weight on it but that will change numerous times...Arrows are between Gold Tip ProHunters and Maxima Reds, just have to see which tunes the best...Oh and new strings are on order from my string builder, John's Customs.
All I do is tinker, it's hard for me to leave a setup alone for more than a couple days without playing with stabilizers or something.

J-Dad, I tend to tinker as well...maybe not to the degree you do though! The last thing I want to do is maybe try a Stokerized SS1 stabilizer.
