Hey guys, I'm just curious as to if there is an upgrade for the standard tether that goes around the tree? I use a summit viper that I love, but it seems as if I have to loosen the tether and raise it up as I am ascending/descending the tree. I feel like this takes the longest and most effort out of the entire climb and I wasn't sure if there is any option that is easier to use and just as safe. Any insight you could provide would be great. Thank you guys! -Corey
I like this style. Much more adjustable for length. http://www.huntersafetysystem.com/store/rope-style-tree-strap.html
The rope in the link above, has worked great for me the last 4 years. I also use a Summit Climber and have the same issue with having to adjust the strap as I go up and down. You will still have to do this with the rope at times, but it adjusts much quikcer with the prussic not.
