What would you do? My bow is 3-4 years old, and next year or the year after I'm looking to get some new stuff. This being my first bow, I learned what accessories are good and what I want for sights, rests, etc... Just curious to what you all would do.
It is your money and do what you like, but I would upgrade my accessories unless my bow was really not any good. My current bow is 8-9 years old and the only thing I have really changed on it in five years is putting on a 360 Capture Rest. If you are comfortable with your bow and it is only 3-4 years old I would upgrade and fine tune your accessories as you can always put them on a new bow in the future.
+1. if your bow shoots really good for you, keep it and upgrade the accessories as they can be transferred from one bow to another. what bow are you shooting now? is it not performing to any standard? just wondering, brian.
I own a Diamond Black Ice by Bowtech and I really like the bow - it's not a real high end bow, but it was the first bow I ever bought a year ago when I got into bow hunting. I have gradually upgraded it to make it much, much more quiet and I just got a new release that has improved my accuracy as my anchor point is much more consistent. It's got to be a heck of a lot cheaper to upgrade a bow than it is to just break down and buy a new one. Think of it like this, for every knew $800 plus bow you buy you could have bought 3 to 5 climber or hang on tree stands - just something to think about!
Yeah thanks guys. I've decided it makes more sense to put 300-400 in accessories then it does to buy a 800-1000 bow plus 300-400 in accessories. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
