Here's a few pics from yesterday, I'm pretty happy with how things are coming along. Especially the brassicas. The main reason I got into food plots was to try and keep deer on our property during late season. I've always loved to plant things and watch them grow though. Lots to learn still.

They're still hitting the clover pretty good

Purple top and seven top turnips. One of my new stands is down the old atv trail about 20 yards to the right of the trail. Lots of deer trail intersections around there.

Another tiny "kill plot" I planted for my little bro.. Rape, berseem clover, and a few turnips thrown in there. It curls around in a 1/2 circle. Doing alright for filtered light most of the day. I hung a stand here a month ago and have a cam running here as of yesterday. They are hitting the rape first which I assumed would happen. I just didn't think they'd start munching till atleast October..

These are all new spots I've been working on this summer, but still looking forward to hunting my ladder stand spots I used a lot last year.. You can never have too many options, right? :D Good luck to all, should be an exciting year.

Thanks mnbowhunter, much appreciated. PT Turnips actually do pretty well no-till..You might wanna give that a try somettime. Not a ton of soil prep time as long as your fertility is good.

That looks awesome, I've always wanted to plant a food plot... Maybe one day, I have a lot of learning to do before I do...
