Update on my dad

    My dad was put in the hospital today for a possible staph infection. He had shingles recently and it took a toll on his immune system. His blood pressue is very low today, and the doctor gave him 2 units of blood (anemic now) as well. He's lost 15 lbs the past couple of weeks. I'm going to see him after work this evening. Please keep him in your thoughts.

    Prayers sent... Believe it or not, I at 20 y.o. had shingles a couple weeks ago, I know that it didn't take near the toll on me as it would've your Dad. I hope he is does well.

    My youngest daughter had shingles when she was in preschool. I had never seen it before. Awful stuff.

    Your dad will get all my prayers tonight.

    I had it at 27. Took me months to get over. Guess I was working too hard and I just wore myself out. You really need to be careful if you're getting it at 20.

    Thanks everyone. He said he felt a little better this morning, but his blood pressure is still really low. I think he's going to be in the hospital for several days.
