I have a Mathews Triax 28'' draw maxed out at 72lb. victory 340 cut at 28.5''. 390 grain arrow, 74.5 KE. Cal. says I should get 293 fps. I got 304, 304, 306. My rest was tuned with a low right tear, and bow was off tuning marks a little bit. I had my bow re-tuned, and paper tuned. She is a tack driver now, 50 yards putting 3 arrows in a strip of 1/2 '' paint trim tape. I haven't chrono it yet. I'm guessing it should be hitting 308 fps to 310 fps now, if I get around to it. I will go get it Chrono again and post the updated spe eds. It does seem to be faster.
And yet I haven't chrono'd a bow since 1982. It was 187 and it killed many deer. mH6 - Very nice bow. Just think what penetration you would have if you shot my 584 gr arrow with a durable, sharp, made in USA fixed BH.
Thank You , with the 390 I shouldn't have problems with pass through tho. With a 400 + and 500 + arrow . Pass through on elk elephants wouldn't be any problem for sure. I also use fmj 320 6mm there a pretty heavy arrow.
597 grain arrow moving at 252 FPS out of my triax 27.5” 70#. And the draw is correct. My bow was puking .5” long and 2# over max. Got that fixed really quick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mathews Triax is a very hard hitting fast smooth bow. I don't regret buying mine. I like my Halon 6 also, but the Triax is a little better, which is very hard to believe. Mathews has really out done their selves. Will be hard to beat in 2019. I'm sure they will take the Triax and make it a longer axe.
