A quick peek at how my food plots are doing. I finally got my clover cut last weekend.

During cutting. You cannot see the pull behind mower because it is offset behind the rhino.

What are you using to cut the clover Greg?

    Looks good.

How hard are the deer hitting it?

Brad, I used a pull behind rough cut mower called a Marauder. It had a 48" cut and adjusted all the way up it cut about 8" high.

The deer and the turkeys seem to love it.

I'm quite pleased with the results.

How many plots do you have now Greg and what are their sizes? Just curious.

Brad, I have 5 plots so far. They are kind of small but they work pretty good. I have 3 1500sq/ft plots, 1 2500 sq/ft plot and the clover is 1/4 acre plot. Next spring I am taking over a 2 1/2 acre part of a crop field that I have been renting out to a farmer. It is part of a 22 1/2 acre crop field currently. I plan on screening this 2 1/2 acre plot with Egyptian Wheat and planting soybeans to let stand while the other part will be harvested. To get the big picture, this field (22 1/2 acre) is side by side to an 80 acre crop field which is usually corn.

Boy that clover looks really nice - looks like it grows well down in the shade of those trees, I bet that will be a nice field for you this fall.

    Looks great!

Are you planning on hitting the clover with some 0-0-60?

    Thanks for the comments guys.

I hit it with 0-0-60 already this year but I may hit it again later this summer.
