So went out for the first time bowhunting on Wednesday. In the afternoon got in the stand around 5 p.m. no action until around 6:10. Got to watch 8 turkey's (2 Beards 6 hens) play in the field, when the turkey's got in the woods around 6:40 the doe came out. Group of 4 doe (2 mature 2 fawns) came down from the field and entered the woods about 60 yards away. Ten minutes later 4 mature doe came down again from the field and entered the woods in the same place the previous ones did. Then near dark a little doe was grazing at the top of the hill in the field and went into the woods up at the top. Pretty happy with the action i saw for the first time out. Would be nice if the doe picked my path to go down and not the other. Also have a question. Do you not see many bucks right now? Is their a reason i saw only doe in that spot or just how the cookie crumbles? My dad and i put up 8 stands total on our family farm. The one i was in this past time has been up since early summer. Waiting until they get use to the others before going up in it. Thanks all!
