So sorry for your loss !! I've really enjoyed his posts on several hunting forums over many years now. He was ornery as the day was long. He could take it as well as he gave it. He had a great sense of humor. The one thing that stood out most to me besides his love for bowhunting and making many friends on the forums and in life... was his pride when he talked of his life, his business but mostly the pride he had for his family.

He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by many. He was a great person !!

    Tim

Sorry to hear of Dave's passing, thanks for posting this Dixon. I always admired Dave's involvement and dedication he had in the reintroducion of Atlantic Salmon right here in NY. He was a great man and will be missed.

My sincerest condolences Dixon. David was a great man and true American hero. He will be missed on all these forums he frequented. The true measure of a man is the shadow cast… and he was huge. His opinions and sharing of information made him a great friend to many. He is now at rest along with his beloved wife Beth.

I am very sorry to hear this. David's posts were one of the reasons I decided to join this site and I believe I shared his passion for steelhead as well. He is one of those special few who really do touch a lot of lives, with his level perspectives and insight, his respectfulness , and above all his courage and sacrifice for this country.

David and I didn't always see eye to eye and that was ok. I still respected him and wanted his opinions on my post. I learned a lot from him. I have missed his responses and his opinions. Great man to say the least.

Dixon, mine and my families prayers are with you and yours. He will surely be missed by all of us.
