While out at the property over the weekend I snapped a quick pic of one of the buckwheat plots. Deer are browsing heavily on them. I wasn't sure how they would react since this is the first time planting buckwheat. Seems they like it! :)

Nice job! I planted it for the first time this year as well. I planted it in two different locations, two different counties. They have absolutely destroyed it at one place and have barely touched in the other but I think there are various factors for this reason. Thanks for sharing!

Nice! Mine is so ridiculously tall. I've had a cam on it since planting, but I left it off for two weeks (accidental) and forgot to put a card in it for another two weeks (moron). It looks like they're hitting it, though, even though I put it just for a little extra soil building to till under here in a few weeks.

I don't know what happening down south. But in Ontario Canada we have had more rain then ever in history. As a matter of fact right now as we speak 80% of Toronto is without power due to flooding. I live out in the country where we actually have grass and trees so the water goes away naturally. Unlike the concrete and asphalt of the city. Regardless my plot has clovers and peas honestly a solid 3-4' tall. It's crazy. I just left it because I'm mowing it all down soon to plant a fall plot.
