I predict with the coldfront coming this weekend that our cameras on our mock scrapes will blow up with pics and a few giants will hit the ground. Good luck everyone. It's finally here.

Going to be about a week before it gets cooler here. I think it is going to be a good week for the forum!

I'm sitting Saturday as long as it's not pouring rain. And I'm sitting Sunday morning also. The high on Sunday is only supposed to be 55 degrees.

I am in the minority here thinking that the cold front won't be great. Have you seen the rest of the forecast?

For South Dakota they are saying 30 mph winds and rain/snow. What reason do the bucks have to be up and moving? There is no rutting going on right now. With the weather the way it is right now, it is plenty cool for them to be up and moving at night.

Depending on wind direction I have a really nice river bottom I can hunt. Otherwise I would skip it. If the winds really are 20mph I doubt I will see much.

I only can hunt Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and it is not looking good with thunderstorms on the way. Thought it was going to be good with the cold front but the rain is a killer. I would go out in a drizzle but not pouring rain thats for sure.

I've sat in the pouring rain before. I went out early and it was a light drizzle before daylight. Then it picked up a bit, before I knew it I couldn't see 50 yards. By the time I got out of the woods I was completely soaked. Looked at radar, it rained for another 4 hours. I learned my lesson. Never again.

That is true. I sat in a light drizzle for one evening and sill got soaked by the end of the hun even though it was a light drizzle. The only reason I would go out in a drizzle is because I am itching to get out in the woods and wouldn't be able to get out another week after Saturday.

There is going to be a 20 degree drop in temp from Saturday to sunday here in Wisconsin where I hunt. Its also going to be the first day without rain since Thursday. I have high hopes of seeing something.
