So I was messing around with my Creed today, re-tuning it, when the idea hit me. Why not mount my T5 quiver off the bottom mount Lower riser) instead of the top. My thought was that the quiver wouldn't be top heavy then. I switched it up for a few shots at the end, and it did seem more stable. So, other than possibly collecting water when raining, any reason I'm not thinking of that would make this a bad idea? Yes, I keep my quiver on at all times.
Sounds like good reasoning to me. Just don't poke yer eye out with a knock when you start nodding off in the stand.
Might give it a try, but ive shot my creed like a total of 12 times with my t5 on it, wont get much use outside of the season. You could notice a differnce in the stability?
when I was hunting from the ground, I did this all the time. I also had my quiver mounted all the time, and I found that my arrows would hit the ground when I rested the bow on my boot if mounted normally. When I turned it upside down, it solved that problem and did not effect arrow flight. I also found it gave the bow better balance when I carried it on top of my shoulder. I can, and often do walk with it hands free across fields on my shoulder. I found nothing but benefits to mounting it that way.
Fitz... you better shoot it ALOT and get use to it... or in the heat of the moment you may try to shoot your bow upside down.
Sounds interesting. I'm going to try it myself. What about game seeing the colored fletches more with them sticking up? I guess the other thing is just getting used to getting the arrows out and nocked that way without hitting the BH on anything.
I do that when I'm letting it down under the tree with my rope so my arrows don't get bent up and banged around....I don't shoot with the quiver on Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
I guess I had never even thought about doing this. Reading all the responses above with all the benefits listed, I now might also try this. Thanks for the idea
My younger brother Ethans quiver is mounted like that on his Diamond. I noticed it the other day. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy s4
Be careful Fitz or someones gonna think you don't know how its supposed to go. Actually sounds like a good idea. Good luck with it!
Yeah, it makes sense. I've only seen one other guy do it like this, and it was at our cabin, and he thought that was how it was supposed to go on, lol.
Knew of a guy that did this. He did drill two tiny drain holes for the rain situation though Fitz. I 've seriously thought about this a lot when on stand and may try it.
I shot a recurve one season with the quiver flipped that way. I used to do a lot of ground hunting and the feathers made less noise because they were above a lot of the brush flipped that way.
