Ok so after a couple of hectic weeks I finally have two of my three red40s out and running on public land. Put one out yesterday and the other out a week ago ill be putting the third out next week. I was thinking of doing a three week rotation so that after next week ill hopefully have pics to share every week or so and reduce the risk of theft by not keeping them in the same spot for to long I may go to a two week rotation but ill see how it goes I'm already dying to go check them I don't know how ill last three weeks.
Good luck to you. My cameras are on public land as well. I hike over a mile and that's the only way to get to them so I'm hoping they'll be safe. :D
Thanks I don't think I should have a problem I mounted them high in a tree and they are pretty well hidden me and my buddy set cams up in different areas and then we looked for each others cams and neither of us could find them even though we knew they were in a specific area up in a tree. Hope any would be thieves don't have better eyes than we do.
Great idea on hiding them well like that. With mushroom season and turkey season going on right now I won't even give that a try yet on the state land by my home. Look forward to seeing the results!!
Yeah I have them out in a couple of archery only areas for now and there aren't many turkeys around here so hope there isn't much human traffic coming through now. Ill be putting some more out in other areas once turkey season is over with.
