Nice try!! ;) I'm not against all unions but what I'm against Is some of these unions mentality. Some of these unions you can't tell them nothing. They know all. Some of their ethics are down right scary as well. I'll never forget what them bastards did at the milk plant. My brother Is a member of a union. I'll leave out the name of the union but It's allot like the one buckeye belongs to. I like how buckeye's and my brothers union operate. I wish they all were similar to that.

Wisconson Public Workers make 4.8% less than Private sector workers with the same qualifications on the same type jobs. Throw in a bachelors degree and Wisconson workers make less than 62,000.00 where someone in the Private sector with the same job and qualifactions make 82,000.00.

Unions do not belong in the public sector. And as far as saying public workers make this much less than private sector employees, here is an idea, go work in the private sector. There are plenty of people who would gladly take the 4.8% less pay with the premium benefit packages. Take that overpriced degree and go find a job that pays you what you think you are worth. I for one would be glad that all those teachers in Wisconsin are on "strike", they are the moonbat teachers I wouldn't want teaching my kids anyway. All the normal teachers are ready to go to work.

Where you think you live, North Korea! Unions belong anywhere American people need them.

I work in the private sector, non union too, Whats your point!

Tell them to get in line and fill out an application.

Is anyone forcing folks to take these lower paying, public sector union jobs?

If there's more money to be made in the private sector, why aren't they going there?

Oh yeah....get in line and fill out an application.

No one forces anyone to take a job where they have to stick their finger up somebody else Bumholeo, yet they have no trouble filling those positions.

If that's what you wanna call it......when the sheep send their dues off to the union bosses....I won't argue with you. But, I'm a little surprised at you actually calling them out like that.

Union worker or Non-union. The real problem in this country is greed among the top. Look at the average pay increase of the working class compaired to the top CEO's and presidents of our U.S. companies. Does ENRON ring a bell.

I've never hid the fact that I am very anti-union. I don't care who knows it and could care less if anyone thinks any less of me because of it. I have a very legitimate reason behind it too, I saw union demands and countless strikes and walkouts ruin the whole town I grew up in. The union keep wanting more more more, the factory owners kept saying the factory is losing money so cannot give more more more. Union didn't care but wanted more and finally the guy gave up, closed the factory and turned the town of 3000 into about 1200. That was about 15 years ago and it still sits vacant today. To this day every time I think about that whole situation, it still makes me angry. What makes this worse? My dad was pivotal in forming that very union and this hurt him more than anyone - he was so upset that the union took it as far as they did.

I realize too that you can't lump all unions into one category and not all unions are the same. But generally, all unions do are overinflate the price of the product they are producing. Today I run a construction company, I sometimes get bids from union trades and the price difference is amazing. The union guys will argue the price is worth it because of the product you get in return but there are plenty of non union trades that do quality work too, and for near half the price. What some of these trade union guys make for wages is just laughable.

For the record though, I can't blame the guy for wanting to make good money, if I were 21 years old and someone came along and offered me that much to be a carpenter I'd probably jump at it too. But with this last fallout of the housing industry, all those union carpenters are sitting at home hoping obama extends umemployment benefits again because there is no way anyone is going to pay that kind of money for trades in this market.

Well .. you aint looked around enough ... look at some the the union heads ...RICH .... John .. your quote above is ridiculous ... if someone wants to be a CEO, VP, Director, etc.... and they put it what it takes to be one ... OF COURSE they will make a lot of money!!

So do the Union workers that make over 6 figures with their bennies included .... properly managed ... they are "rich" too .... wow .....

BTW .... The responsibility at the top is greater than most will EVER know ....

Their is no doubt that some ceo's and other exec's have taken advantage of there position, alot of them criminally, and i hope they rot in hell. There are as many union bosses getting busted for embezzling from their members, or throwing lavish parties or "conferences" on the unions dime.

That is what Rush told me anyway, ha.

Drive thru any union shop parking lot.... don't see too many new fancy cars do ya. They are middle class folks scratching for a living like everyone else is. Having worked both sides of the fence I can say that unions give you fair footing, and you can be fired from union jobs- 3 strikes and your out...bottom line. Non -union you have to contend with bosses brothers, cousins , in-laws climbing the corp. ladder ahead of you cause " they're related". All those " wall street" people....are they union or non union. Ever hear of Bernie Madoff and his family. Keep pushing for non union and you'll be all working for walmart where the "family" are multi-millionairs and the workers can't afford medical benefits and get them thru the gov...... on our dime.

Fair footing? Fair footing for what? Fair compensation? You think plant workers should be making as much as specialized professionals?

I just don't understand the need for unions. If you work for a company that keeps screwing you over, work for a different company. Why do you have to have a union come in and handle your business for you? The union gets your raises? Ever heard of merit based raises?
