My question.. and only because I am curious is..

Define your conservatism. Is it closer left... moderate... right?

I only ask out of curiosity because many right wing democrats exist. I just wonder if you tend to affiliate yourself more so to the republican side despite this fact.

I am both socially and fiscally conservative. I am a Evangelical Christian.

I swing between right to moderate depending on the topic.

Does that answer your question adequately?

I totally agree with this Germ.

I too left the pasture of politics about 2 years ago and dove in to see what was really happening out there. What I found out was I had no idea how complicated our political scene truly is.

I too am for diplomatic leaders. Enough of this my side is right BS... its time to get things done.

I also do not affiliate myself with either party anymore whatsoever. I found in that time that I share the platform of a political party long dead. And so do many more.

I'm smart enough to give you a class, 61 to 33% with a plus, minus 4% margin error still means the numbers favor the 61%, I don't care how much schooling you got. But you did kind of make yourself sound smart.
Funny thing is, Gallop usualy works for Republicans when the numbers favor them. LOL

I posted it twice, yet you still let it get buy you, so I'll post it again, 61% of people polled support the Public workers right to collective bargaining.
My statement has nothing to do with the budget cuts or supporting Walker, The public workers have allready agreed to the budget cuts.

It has to do with the right to Organize and to have Representation. I can tell you right now these are not just Wisconsen tax payer issues, these are American issues that tear at the very foundation of our Country.
It has nothing to do with being a democrat or a republican and everything to do with being smart enough to understand when a handfulll of corporate suck asses is trying to take away your rights.

"They [the Soviet Polish government] have made it clear that they never had any intention of restoring one of the most elemental human rights—the right to belong to a free trade union."
    Ronald Reagan.

This is just too funny, you did a couple of pages ago!
Ha Haaaa.. thats almost as good as the time Jeffro tried to make me look like an ass by letting everyone know I spelled Einstein wrong, but missed the chance by making an ass of himself, misspelling it a differnt way.

Do you only read what you want to Flicker???? Here is what I posted earlier in this thread, it was a reference to the fact that there were numerous polls out there regarding this issue.

The links I posted had valid and not so valid sources for polling
. As you can see in the links the numbers are all over the board. To make a blanket statement that 61% of Americans are against Governor Walker is beyond Naive. I have no dog in this fight as I do not live in WI. The truth is that WI will pass this bill and other states are likely to follow. If 61% of Americans supported Unions we would have a higher Union Labor force than the 12.6% we currently have and shrinking.

Gallup is very accurate, their presidential elections are usually within 4%. With that being said one must also know that these polls are averaged over months by polling 1000 people a day. All your eggs are in a basket that sampled 1000 people for one day, this increases the chance of flawed data. The interesting fact remains that Unionization is on the decline and currently 12.6% of the workforce is Unionized, if 61% of our country support collective bargaining then why are only 12.6% Unionized. There are plenty of polls out there but in a country with over 100 million people and a 9% unemployment rate it is odd that there are not more supporting the rights of collective bargaining in WI;)

Polls often speak to opinions but actions are louder than words, WI Unions needs a hell of a lot more support if they are going to stop Walker;)

Are you kidding me? Give the power the forefathers fought for (states' rights) back to a national government?

And tell me more about these rights I'm (and every other US citizen) going to lose - if Walker is successful???? Still haven't heard this answered.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who are the "sheep"? And,.....even better.....who is "us" (No help on this one. I want to hear your answer) ? The "sheep" elected our current president. So, keep that in mind when you answer.

.......nevermind. (Also, this is the second time you've mentioned this. I'll tell you the same thing I told you last time.......link - or it never happened)

I do see a trend with you union supporters and the English language, though.

It is not acceptable in any way to post derogatory toward another member on this forum.

Debate all you want but stop the insults or this will be locked down.

This is the one and only warning.

Quick question for those in the know.........

From what I understand, Walker is trying to give the public employees a choice if they want to be part of a union or not. He's not actually putting a stop to the union, simply giving the employees a choice of whether they want to be in one or not.

    Is this correct?

Ha Haaa CNN, MSNBC, CBS, FOX and every body else used the Gallop poll I did, you need to send them an Email.
One last time. My poll was specifically about the public workers right to Organize.
Your polls are about balancing the budget. Two differnt things. Hell I hope he can balance the budget and I dont even live there.

People are getting laid off In non union jobs all over the USA. Are these non union company's ass's for doing this too? Come on people. There Isn't a business out there that wants to do this. It only means one thing when this has to be done, times are tough!!

At least these Wisconsin union folks will still have a job. Like I said earlier, people should be fortunate to have a job right now In this ****ty economy.

I just saw a union rep on the news explaining the reason that union state employees should not have to pay as much for insurance is they get paid so much less than private sector.

So here is my question. If its so much better in the private sector, shouldn't a smart man or woman seek employment in the private sector??

These union reps are not very smart it appears.

Steve being you are a good guy, so talking with you is easy. I will response with what I think.

I don't think because times are bad we let that dictate what we believe is to be right. If we are at war should we let government stomp all over the 4th amendment.

Yes times are bad, but if you believed your rights were getting stomped on what would you or any of us do?

If You support them or not, they are fighting for a right they believe in.

There are fantastic companies here in USA. I do a lot of research when I invest my money in one. Employee satisfaction is a big deal to me.

Why would anyone want to be a proctologist?
Hell, why would anyone come on a Bowhunting fourm and brag about doing business with the Chinese and bad mouth American made Union products?
    It takes all kinds!
