Who's using a UPS system? Which one do you recommend?

I'm going to be getting one for my new computer and probably another one or two for the resort computer and modem.

I think I have it narrowed down to an APC or CyberPower line-interactive unit. Our power here is quite dirty.

    Myself, I'm a APC fan, we have a APC Back-UPS Pro1000.

APC would be my first choice.

I have used APC and they work really well. They are very reliable.

Another vote for APC. Most now come with a cable to connect to your computer/laptop to shut it down gracefully. How dirty is your power?

APC vote here too. I've had great experience with them, in the work place and for home - sump pumps, etc. If you really want to go the energy backup route I would also suggest looking into solar. You can get two 45-watt panels with a charge controller, a few 12v deep cycle batteries, and a decent power inverter for $300-$400. You can run even parts of your house on it depending on usage.

I'm gonna vote APC on this one too. Mine works flawlessly and has saved my butt twice

Very inconsistent. We loose power about twice a month, usually for only a minute or two. Power flickers much more often. I'm actually surprised we haven't fried anything yet.

Portions of the Lodge are 100 years old... Until my last remodel project, half of the upstairs was still running off a fuse box.
