From an analytical point of view a lot of the older films from movements like the film noir movement (movies like Laura, Double Indemnity), have failed to get much recognition these days, IMO the movies being put out lately are all crap unless they're funny. :tu: Even though Cool Hand Luke gained alot of recognition when it was released with the whole rebellion thing, I think it's still a great movie that not many people from my generation on have seen,

I really liked The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. For some reason that movie captured my mind like few movies I have ever watched.

Also, Reservoir Dogs comes to mind as being underrated. Blood Diamond with Leonardo DiCaprio.

I am not really good at remembering all the movies I have watched so take my little list as a grain of salt.

Maybe I missed it but Cast Away wasn't on that list. Another fine Tom Hanks film.

    All time classic for sure.

True Romance is about as good of a movie with an unreal cast that almost no one I know has ever seen.

    For me:

    Last Man Standing
    One Crazy Summer
    The Money Pit

There's a number of other movies. But, those tend to be ones that I never hear mention of anywhere.
