I always thought he shot for Martin. I may be wrong, I try to avoid all things Nuge.

That's an interesting pairing. I guess they figure his celebrity status(as a rock star) would steer any potential fans their way if they decided to buy a bow. Makes sense I guess.

I have to disagree with you on this one. He is a media circus for sure but in my opinion he's just "out there". I'm not sure how positive the association Nuge with Mathews will be. I think he's a good advocate for certain things but he's way over the top and frankly "loony". To each their own but I'm not a big Nuge fan.

After all its not like Mathews needs a boost in publicity.

Very every bowhunter who dislikes the Nuge, there's 10 who think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. It may not seem like it here on the Internet, but it's the truth. Hang out at your local archery club or sporting goods store and you're bound to run into some folks sporting an Uncle Ted shirt and spewing quotes from the "whackmaster" himself. Love him or hate him, the guy is probably the best known celebrity bowhunter on the planet.

With that said, I heard through the grapevine a while back that Martin was possibly looking to sell out. I can't imagine business is booming for them, so my guess is Uncle Ted's pricetag either was out of their reach or he jumped off before the ship could sink. Can't say that I blame him. Having worked closely with Mathews going on 4 years now I can say they are some of the finest people out there, they run an amazing company that truly cares about their employees, and on top of that they make some of the best bows in the world.

I don't believe Mathews has ever made a bow around a person so I certainly wouldn't hold your breath for a "Nuge" edition anytime soon.

Very true. I merely meant they aren't hurting in the publicity category. So I don't think that's the reason for it. IMO

I could never pull off talking like Ted Nugent does. But the stuff he says needs to be said.

I think he's hilarious and spot on. Not to mention he's a true bowhunter, not a typical celebrity who has a guide take him on every hunt he goes on. Ted is a conservationist and manages all his ranches and properties, gotta love a rocker who does his own work.

Its no secret that the vast majority of bowhunters lean towards the mindset of Ted Nugent.

I'd still take Tom Miranda over the Nuge.

Well shoot I really like the new Mathews line, I guess I'll just wait for Ted to get caught poaching again and Mathews will drop him.
