So i have a Hoyt Carbon Element with a QAD Ultra Rest on it and ran into a bit of a problem (or 2) today. Decided to paper tune my set up today after noticing some wild arrow impact on the target... well for one the rest will not adjust far enough to the left so my arrow still flies kinda sideways. And when i got the elevation adjusted i noticed marks on my fletching where the rest rubs them during the release. Has anybody else ran into this problem or know of a way to get the bow and the rest to work together?

it comes with a spacer that you have to insert between the rest and the bracket that has bolts holding it in the riser. if it wont go far enough left. I had to put the spacer in my carnage.
my qad came with a cd with videos, if yours did too watch it.

I dont remember, I'll have to look. The only thing I'm worried about is how the rest arm is hitting the fletching... it must be brushing pretty hard to leave the black marks on the fletching. Idk if its not dropping enough or if its bouncing up into the arrow.

Did you change the fork ?
The qad comes with 2 of them.
I have qad ultra on my element and have never had a problem with it.

One of the forks is deeper than the other. Did you take it in to a shop?
I know that they are a bit temperamental.

I'll have to try the deeper fork theen because the fork is making contact with the shelf anyways i think thats why its hitting the fletching.

I'll have to try the deeper fork than because the one on it is making contact with the bow shelf. I'm gunna mess with it a lil more before i head to the shop next week... gotta get a few things anyhow. And to answer you Afflicted, yea i had one on my PSE and it was hard on fletching. (I shoot a lot)

Recheck timing on bow, reset nock height. Then time the rest according to the instructions and you should have no issues with that combo. Make sure the rest only comes completely up in the last inch of draw.

I have a 2011 element with the QAD and it works flawlessly, however, after initial setup, the cables creeped causing timing issues and I got contact. I retimed bow and rest and all has been fine since, just intitial creep on factory rigging.

Thanks, I'll check the timing too... good call. The biggest problem is the fork is contacting the shelf and I can't move my nock point up because then i would have to move my peep... which can't be moved up any more at all. So really one little problem uncovers a group of issues. But I'll just have to test and tune, I mean if it was easy everybody would do it.

Center the nock with the berger hole. If you don't have anymore adjustment with the peep with it there then i really have concerns.

I just dropped it off at the pro shop the timing was off a hair... and hes gunna switch forks and put the block in the rest to give me more adjustment. So it should send arrows straight by this time tomorrow. Thanks for all the info guys! I'll let ya know how its shooting.
