So yesterday was my first sit in the stand that I actually got to see deer. 3 does slowly made their way towards my stand just before sunset. I was so damn excited, my first chance for a bow kill! 2 were older and healthy looking and the 3rd was maybe a yearling, and the lined up perfect for me, little one @ 15, the other two @ 20 & 25 yards. Picked the middle one, drew back, lined up on what I swear was the 20 pin, exhaled and let it fly... and watched the green illuminock go right over her back. Damn! Spooked the ladies, and as I sat there replaying the whole event in my head, I resized since I added the 4thpin and I counted from the bottom up I lined up on the 30 pin. I am thankful it was a complete miss and not a wounding shot, hopefully they will cone back this evening so I can claim redemption! Heading to the shower now, then off to the stand. Hope to post some pics this evening!
nothing today, the farmer next to where i hunt was cutting one of his fields, then with the high wind (20-25 mph steady) and warmer temps, nothing was moving around this evening. going back out tomorow right after work, hopefully there cruising the fresh cut and i can get another chance!
