first off, penn/fitch, what did you think about the draw? imo penn won first round 10-9, fitch won third round 10-8. only round in quetsion is second, which i thought fitch won 10-9, therefore getting the decision win. clearly one judge saw it that way but the other too gave it to bj. there are already talks of a rematch but i think it's better off that we dont see that. i think bj doesnt want it anymore, which you could see in his post fight interview where he almost broke down. fitch should get winner of gsp/shields for title shot. hes done nothing but win in the ufc. if gsp/silva happens then fitch should get optiion of waiting for title shot or having another fight to stay busy like they did with anthony petis in lightweight. also, lytle got robbed!!! he won that fight, ebersole got home field win lol
I agree with everything you said, I think Penn won the first and fitch the last two... And your right Penn doesn't want it anymore... I think it's time for him to hang them up... other than catching Hughes, who should also hang them up, he's done nothing impressive lately. GSP needs to move on up if he beats sheilds, he has nothing left to prove in Welter. Fitch looked good, but not GSP good. He beat him by decision once already in '08, and while Fitch may have evolved by then, I would say GSP has too. I liked the Bisping, Rivera fight, while I'm not a fan of either at all, they did put on a good show... I'm just glad I didn't pay for this one, not a good card at all imo.
ya bisping/rivera was one of the most uninteresting fights that became interesting just because of their dislike of each other. they did a good job hyping that fight and making into something it wasnt. as for fight itself, that knee was blatantly illegal and probably affected the final outcome. bisping is a classless person. to be pumping your fists in the air and cheering whlie the other person is recovering from your illegal knee is ridiculous. then to spit at the cornermen after the fight and act like he did was absolutely uncalled for and i cant stand him. the good part is knowing that he will forever be a B level fighter who puts together win streaks against mid level competition then loses to top fighters. anytime he gets cocky someone should replay hendo flying thru the air and demolishing his face. ufc just wants him to excel so bad for hte uk but it wont happen.
