About 50 degrees out in Waycross GA and I had two thermacell not wanting to stay lit. One was mine on Saturday night and I got chewed up pretty good. The others I borrowed from a friend and his did the same thing. They both have always worked before and they lit at first but then went out. I'm thinking moisture got into something and they just would not stay lit. Butane was good and you could even hear the flame pop but that was it. Anybody else ever have this issue?
Yes, I have had 2 go out on me in the last 2 years. I bought one just before season this year and it seems to me that its not fully heating up. I hunt right down the road from you (Nahunta) and God knows thats not the place to be without one. I posted to them on their FaceBook page letting them know of my problems, in a professional way, and all they did was delete my post without responding. When they work, they work great but i wish i could find an alternative.
Did you ask thermocell what it could be? Like if there are conditions or environment that they would not work in?
