I'm looking to get rid of my single piece because I think the two piece would secure the arrows better and bring them in closer to the bow. Also I feel it would be quieter. Any one have experience with two piece quivers? Any good recommendations?

Most guys like a nice one piece over a two piece as it allows you to remove the quiver while you are in the stand. That is what most of us if not all do around here. I would never get a two piece for this very reason. That is the quietest and increase your field of vision.

Hade a two piece on my last bow and loved it. Just make sure you have a case that accommodate the quiver with arrows in it. It's a bummer taking the arrows out of the quiver all the time.

I had a PSE two piece on my bow for a few months and now its sitting in my spare parts box...I found it was a HUGE noise maker, not only the two parts of the actual quiver, but having the arrow holds so far apart, it turns your arrows into very large tuning forks and the vibrations just made too much noise for me. I dont even use a quiver now..just stick the arrows in my pack that has a sleeve for arrows.

I get where you're coming from, but I definitely won't be in a stand all the time so I won't be taking off my quiver before the shot most if not all of the time. I understand the advantages of removing it, but I just don't see that being the case most of the time.

What material arrows were you using during this time? And if you used both did it make a difference?

What quiver did you use and what particularly did you like about it?

I bought my first 2 piece quiver this summer. Its a hoyt model made for the carbon bows. They sit on the bow nice and tight and let you adjust how far out or close they are to your bow, which i think is nice. I have no vibration and its quiet when i shoot, which is important to me. 90% of the time i hunt i do spot and stalk. But i also like to be able to take the quiver off my bow at times. For me the quiver i would buy if i wouldnt have one already would be a tight spot, hands down the best quiver in my opinion. I also had a fuse satori a couple of yrs back that i used 2 seasons til it broke, i also really like that one.

FullTimeKiller, I just bought a two piece quiver from hoyt for my carbon spyder. Problem is I only received two bolts and two hex spacers. I have a feeling I should have two more bolts. Would this be correct? Would you have pictures of the installed quivers?

Try a tight spot quiver. You won't be disappointed.

Steelie, that is exactly what i got two of each. I dont have use my quiver anymore, i switched to a tighspot, so i dont have a pic for ya, sorry. But the style of two piece i had on my element had a spacer for each piece, and was held on there by a clamp kinda and the bold got screwed in from the opposite side.

The spacer goes through the round hole on the riser and you attach the bolt from the inside of the bow into the spacer.

Thanks FullTimeKiller. The new quivers don't allow the spacer to go through the quiver arms. It makes sense with the previous design, but someone must have forgot to tell pack out facility that the design changed. I went to the Archery shop that I bought the quiver from and we opened 3 packages with the same number of bolts. We got it to work by using two more bolts. The hoyt dealer was going to let them know about that.
