Oh man, the challenges of bowhunting! Fun and frustrating at the same time! Ever since october 1st I've been after nothing but meat. Let's just say the freezer is still empty. So anyways finally the last two mornings have frosted. Hunted yesterday and had some decent bucks come by, but once at full draw I couldn't get them to slow down. Fast forward to this morning, had a little buck come by at twenty yards. Sent the arrow traveling perfectly at his lungs, but before it reached him he managed to do a ninja deer move and duck the arrow. An hour later, a group of does came walking through. Released another arrow, just to have the cam slap my knee and make the arrow hit 10ft low. Just one of those mornings, but I gotta admit I enjoyed it. Only my 3rd season of bow hunting so I still got plenty to learn! :sheep: . Gonna calm my nerves by taking a little bowhunting break and go buy a muzzleloader tag this evening so I can hunt the muzzleloader opener in the morning. Puttin meat on the ground :nana: ....hopefully

Frustrating, yes. it happens. opening day I had two doe come up the hill and i got busted. the first one "hid" behind a tree to watch me, pefect shot at the vitals at 25 yards. Like you said, "ninja deer move" shot right over her and they ran off. 10 minuets later had a buck coming up the same trail, he turned broadside and i stoped him at 30 yards, i think i hit something between us and i missed that one.
Good luck on your next hunt, fill the freezer.

I was rifle hunting and missed a deer three straight times and finally got him on the fourth. My brother still hasn't let me live it down.

I missed the first shot on mine as I'd never shot out of a tree and my range finder doesn't do arc but it brought him in closer which helped. LOL
