As I was riding back from louisville, IL, my co-worker and I saw 2 bucks locked in battle in the corn field north of the interstate 70 just 2 to 3 miles east of hwy 4. They weren't moving but just had their heads together. I suggested to my coworker about stopping, but he just said "why?". He was in a hurry to get home. I would have loved to got that on video or at least make sure they separated. Either way, there is absolutely nothing more enticing then witnessing that. I was waiting until After Halloween but I'm considering tomorrow rain or shire for my 1st sit. The rut is here in Madison county, IL.
Thats awesome. ^^^ I'm soooooooooo ready to climb my stand steps for the 1st time. I'm off Friday and I'm extremely hopeful that I'll get out and with even more luck see something. I'm getting to the point in my hunting career were seeing deer is just as rewarding as shooting them.
Life is what happens in between all of the places you're in a hurry to get to. I also recommend you driving from now on.
