MLB playoffs start today. Will my Twins ever beat those pinstripe dudes?? Minnesota's pitching has been horrible the last 2 weeks of the season. Their offense took a step back as well but both the Yankees and the Rays didn't play well either late In the season. A few of the sports writers are giving the series to the Twins. I'm not so sure on that. The Injury bug has been tough on the Twins. Not having Morneau for the playoffs will hurt I believe. Playing In the regular season and playing the Yankees are 2 different things when missing a bat like Morneau's. Young and Thome are going to have to be huge contributors for the Twins to get It done. Its very possible though. Both had an outstanding offensive year. Span needs to step It up big time as a lead off hitter. Not a stellar year for him at all this year.

    Good luck Twins!!

I hope the Twins. I hate the Yankees organization. I always will root for the Central except if it is the White Sox.

I'm not a Yankees fan, but I still think they win the pennant.

History says no. The way the Yankees have been pitching in the last month, this year looks as good as any for the Twins to beat them though.

If I were a betting man, I take the Yankees.

It doesn't matter to me, I'm just hoping the Rangers win a playoff game! First time in the playoffs in 11 years and only one win in the playoff in the teams history. I'll be at the game Saturday.

Of course since the Yankees are playing they get prime time while the Rangers first two game are today at 12:30pm and tomorrow at 1pm. What a bunch of Bullsh.......

    I hate the Yankees

The Yankees are going backwards. Their starting pitching SUCKS! (aside from CC). Pettite is only a couple games off the DL and not there yet. Hughes not nearly the same pitcher as first half. Burnett............... nevermind, not worth talking about. Mariano has lost a little and beatable now. The Rays all but handed them the AL East and they couldn't take it. Jeter is coming off the worst year of his career. Just not good for Yankee land going into post season. I know about the "history" of the twins and Yanks in the playoffs, but I dont' see the Yankees advancing. Just playing plain bad baseball right now.

The twins have the best chance at the yankees that they've had in years, hopefully they can keep their lead up.

The Yankees still own the Twins. Man was that frustrating last night watching the Twins 3 run lead disappear In the 6th Inning.

First of all ... the Yankees gave themselves the underdog name.. every place in Vegas has the Yankees favored to win the AL championship so stop talking crap... the only team favored over the Yankees is the Phils and thats because they are the best team in baseball
