I forgot to mention Cabin Fever Sporting Goods in Victoria, Mn. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I was so happy when I found it. Pete in their archery department was super low key and unbelievably knowledgeable and helpful. When I need more Victory VAP Elite arrows I'll be making the long drive thru farm country just because it's worth getting there.
The guy who ran Archery Specialists is opening up a shop in Brooklyn Park a few blocks from Fleet Farm in a week or so.
I went to Archery Country in Rodgers, MN. for the first time today and bought some nice field points with the rubber o-rings inside. Great big shop with a lot of product. All sorts of kids bows all the way up to dedicated target rigs. Just a fantastic place for everything archery related. I will definitely be going back.
Not to hijack to much but anyone know of anything closer to SW corner of state? Going to check out archery country next time I'm visiting in laws but that's a 2.5hr drive for me. Need a shop a little closer than that.
Stopped at Cabin Fever in Victoria yesterday. Was very happy with the staff. Had a few younger women ask me multiple times if I needed anything and Pete, like mentioned above, was a great guy to BS with. I will be going back there to buy my bow if I end up getting it this summer. Bit of a haul for me but get back that way fairly often to see inlaws. A+ in my opinion.
Pretty cool that you made the drive to Victoria gwh3. I'm not real familiar with that area, but it's very pretty with a neat small town ambiance, probably because it's a real small town. I could be wrong but Pete at Cabin Fever gave me the impression that he'd be competitive on bow pricing if I wanted to buy from his shop. gwh3, are you looking at any bows in particular?
Full Draw Archery in Harris Minnesota, just hired Isaac from A-1 Archery! A good match and an excellent shop! MOBU
