    I mean.. when you see such shows as the Turtleman and now this new thing called "Naked and afraid" ..... give me a break. These reality shows have got to end. We the people have to just not watch them.... they need to go away.

    That's the problem David, too many people do watch them. Then, the networks have to use one upsmanship to outdo the other networks. Best thing to do, turn the dang TV off.

    Just do not watch them. TV is saturated with so many channels these days, that networks feel the need to have a few controversial or outlandish shows to get press or draw in the curious viewers.

    With that said, we are actually in the golden age of scripted TV. The level of writing and acting on scripted television right now is at an all time high.

    Turtleman is mindless entertainment. The guy is a moron but I find myself laughing at him every episode. I'd rather watch it than Duck Dynasty.

    Besides a couple of shows the writing and the acting are the same old crap. Predictable stupid story lines that mirror writing from 10,20 and even 30 years ago. Hollywood needs to come up with new material and stop patting themselves on the back so much.

    Agreed, there have been a lot of good new shows in the past few years. I'm really liking Boardwalk Empire lately, can't wait for the new season.

    Id rather have realistic material. Sci-fi is gay. I dont like futuristic crap.

    Thats why I liked Friday Night Lights, the first 2 seasons of LOST. October Road. Rescue Me. Justifed. And now Breaking Bad.

    You listed the top shows that have been on TV and only 2 are from the big 3 networks. That is pathetic. I agree with you that those shows are well written and have substance I'll also say SOA which I'm not a huge fan of but it does have a good story. All of the tv channels and we came up with 9 shows that are time worthy.

    I'm not huge into Sci-fi either but the Walking Dead is good. Friday Night Lights was geared for teenagers and I was to old to believe anything that was happening in it. Lost me after 3 episodes.I liked Rescue Me and Justified even thou Justified reached on a lot of there plots. Lost was original they stung that out way too long. October Road I'll have to watch I haven't yet. Like I replied to Hooker, we came up with a hand full of shows and theirs over 200 channels of crap.

    Breaking Bad is by far the best thing I've watched on TV since MacGyver and Tour of Duty which aired back in the late 80's/early 90's. I agree that sci-fi sucks, and to me that includes The Walking Dead, who doesn't feel it's necessary for handguns to have any recoil. The first episode I watched (not in order) there was no recoil and I was so annoyed I turned it off and will never try to watch it again.

    Some of the stupid crap they do in the Walking Dead makes the show not as good as it could be. Seriously MacGyver that show was so stupid I am now dumber for just seeing it's name.
