Turnips and Radishes are getting hit hard.

    When I shot my doe last Thursday night I checked out the plot I shot her out of. Tops are nipped down big time.

    Also found some turnips that have been pawed up and chewed on.

    I should have enough food in the ground to get me through gun season.


    Feels good to see the results of the hard work.

    I've seen more and bigger bucks this year than in the previous two years combined Ty. I hope that trend continues.

    I just feel better about hunting knowing that I've contributed to the herd health with extra food and habitat. Most everyone that tries food plots "get it" after the first year. It's not just about killing deer, there's something fundamentally satisfying about producing great habitat that's addictive and makes all the work so well worth it.

    Congrats on a job well done!
