Well I just gave in and ordered 3 bull heads and 2 of the Victory full length 4 fletch arrows. It will be my first year trying this but I can't go another year saying "I gotta try that". Also thinking about ordering the Dakota jake decoy, or the avian jake. Anyone have experience with both/either? DSD is out of my price range, and the biggest difference is the flocking on the back which is easily done on your own.
I like having them as an option. I have 3 blade mechanicals just in case they won't come in close but up close but they don't go far without their head. Did you get the 125's? Sent from my SM-N915V using Tapatalk
I did get the 125's, if I don't have To move my sights much from broad heads to bull heads I will be packing a couple 100g thunderheads as well. The plan is for a bull head kill inside 20 yards on film. Now I have to find some birds!
I usually shoot 100's and I don't move my sight at all for the 125's. If I planned on reaching out to 40 yards I would check things out but at close range I don't think I can tell the difference. On the same token, I'm probably shooting them too fast with my set up. Sent from my SM-N915V using Tapatalk
I set up a stake to set a GoPro out near my dekes but that's about all I plan to do this year. If I fill early I may try and film Mom. Sent from my miracle handheld communication device.
Awesome I just ordered myself a POV camera and I already have a Canon G20 I film with!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I tried filming myself last year and when I packed up the camera to head back home one came sprinting in to 10 yards, attacked my decoy, and I shot him all within about 30 seconds of each other so this year I have my wife filming me and I am filming her hunts. Would like to get a kill shot from close up on our GoPro around the decoys. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
What POV cam did you order? I sold my Epic Cam HD Instant On. I am looking at the new GoPro Hero4 Session.
I like the idea of the GoPro in around the decoys, and want to try that out this year. What do you guys put the GoPro on, a stake, small tripod, etc???
Ya I'm one of those ppl that read reviews, read reviews, and read more reviews before I buy something! I also watched test footage of it on YouTube. I didn't get it for the 4K though it only shoots at 15 FPS in 4K. I got it for the 1080 at 60 FPS! I'll know Monday if it was truly worth it after I have it and have time to play around with it!
Will it operate at 4k or 1080, or are they separate cameras? I think I'll be adding one to my pack. I've watched some comparison videos, never could justify a go pro
